DAP committed to serve J&K people: Azad

JAMMU: Former Chief Minister J&K and Chairman of Democratic Azad Party (DAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad, while admitting a large number of people belonging to different political and social organizations, asked them to support his party, for overall development of J&K. He particularly expressed his concern about the unemployment faced by youth, steep rise in prices of essential commodities and other issues of people, emerged erstwhile J&K state was brought down to status of an union territory, asserting that his party is committed to serve J&K people. Other senior leaders present on the occasion included R S Chib, Vinod Mishra, Mohd Aslam Goni, Gourav Chopra, Vicky Mahajan, Vishal Chopra, Anoop Khajuria and Rajinder Singh Pinky.
On the occasion, a number of political activists including Sarpanchs and Panchs joined DAP. Prominent among those who joined the party fold included Kuldeep Singh, Om Prakash, Ramesh Sharma (Sarpanchs), Balbir Chand, Balwan Singh, Govind Ram and Mohd Maskeel Ali (Panchs), Rakesh Kumar, Ghulam Rasool Wani from Udhampur, Sushma Sharma, Rajesh Verma, Gaurav Jamwal, Vijay Chaudhary, Pankaj Verma and Sunil Kumar.
