Chief Secretary felicitates Sarpanch Balbir Singh

JAMMU: Sarpanch Balbir Singh (Happy) Jasrotia of Panchayat Mearth Block Barnoti Distt Kathua, stood first in the district and got the prize for Best protected Sarovar located in the Panchayat Mearth. He got the prize from the Chief Secretary in presence of BDC Chairperson Ch Brijeshwar Singh Indu and Naib Sarpanch Pandrar Kuldeep Singh Padwal, Naib Sarpanch Kuldeep Sharma at Krishak Mela 2022 organized by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Chied Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta appreciated efforts of the Sarpanch and assured the BDC Chairperson that the Govt will adopt the Zero tolerance in encroachment of Traditional Ponds and also appreciated the suggestions for doubling the Farmers Income by giving them uncut power supply to the Lift Irrigation Schemes Raitti, Jakhole, Juthana and Plal by installing Special Line and Feeder from Bakhta Receiving Station.
