JAMMU: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil on Tuesday described the delaying tactics of PDP and BJP in respect of forming of popular government on one or other frivolous pretext as unwarranted and unjustified.
He said that political gimmicks of these parties have led to demeaning of the democratic institutions and set a wrong precedent for future generations to come.
He said PDP and BJP are befooling the common masses only to achieve their respective political goals and settle their internal differences. Terming the alliance of BJP and PDP as unnatural and unholy in political arena, former minister said, present political positions and compulsions of these parties has now substantiated the terminology of unnatural and unholy, used for this alliance.
He said that PDP and BJP despite enjoying the vote and mandate of electorates have failed to come up to the expectations and failed the innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Vakil was addressing a meeting of his supporters at Gandhi Nagar Jammu today.
While addressing the gathering, Vakil said that delay in formation of the popular government has halted and jeopardised the development, prosperity as well as peace initiatives in the J and K State because the whole administration is in confusion and chaos particularly in the field.
He said that such type of blackmailing and hijacking by BJP and PDP cannot be allowed in the interest of the State and too much time has been taken by PDP and BJP only to describe Agenda of Alliance as a sacred document but nothing tangible stands done to form the popular government.
Vakil appealed to the Governor to set a firm deadline for these parties to form the government and in case they fail to do so Vakil demanded immediate dissolution of assembly.
Welcoming the probe into Samba incident, former minister, appealed the Governor to direct the field administration to be extra sensitive in dealing such type of issues.
