Govt bans private practice of three doctors for violating STGs

JAMMU: The government on Thursday banned private practice of three doctors for violating Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) issued by National Health Authority (NHA).
“Pending enquiry into the allegations, regarding violation Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) issued by the National Health Authority (NHA), three doctors are banned from doing any private practice across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department.
As per order, the doctors who are banned from doing private practice include Dr. Junaid Khursheed from District Hospital Budgam; Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat from SDH Sopore; and Dr. Yawar Nisar from Super-Specialty Hospital, Srinagar.
