Teachers’ Day celebrated at JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great fervour and exuberance at JK Public School Kunjwani. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait and offering floral tribute to the great educationist & former President of India Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
Director JK Education Society Shashi Choudhary, Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Shashi Rattan, AVP Roopinder Kour and School coordinators entailed by a short assembly including thought, news, speech on the ‘Role of Teachers’ in shaping the society.
The Director Shashi Choudhary and the Principal Rajesh Rathore gave away certificates to the winners of District/Zone Level Basketball Championship and congratulated the teams for their stupendous performance.
The cultural programme was presented by students of classes XI and XII for their mentors with the idea that students cannot thank their teachers enough in their lives for grooming them. There were scintillating dance performances, Rap, standup comedy which enthralled the audience. ‘Guess the Teacher’ game was the cherry on the cake.
In his address, the Principal Rajesh Rathore appreciated the students for organizing the programme well. He recognized phenomenal contribution of teachers in our society. He also quoted Swami Vivekananda “An inspiring Teacher’s influence goes till eternity”. He encouraged students to work hard to come out with flying colours in board exams. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to teachers for grooming of the students and called them worthy ambassadors of the Institution.
Director JK Education Society, Shashi Choudhary incited students to respect teachers from the core of their heart. She also laid emphasis on the importance of discipline and moral values in school life.
The programme was devised, organized as well as anchored exclusively by students . The programme ended with National Anthem.
