UDHAMPUR: A self defence training for girl children which falls under gender component of SSA was organised at Govt Middle School Chirayi zone Tikri on Thursday.
The training camp was inaugurated by Zonal Education Officer, Tikri Kaka Ram Dogra. While inaugurating the camp, Dogra said , “Such camps are the need of the hour when the crime rate against women and girls are increasing in our society.”
The training was also attended by DEPO Udhampur J .M Tharmatt who stressed on imbibing self confidence among 50 girl children coming from various schools through self defence training.
The instructors Rukhsana Begum, Meenakshi Gupta and Indu Thakur taught various skills.
The training will continue further in other clusters of Tikri Zone.
