Full dress rehearsal held in Jammu

JAMMU: The district administration Jammu on Saturday conducted full dress rehearsal witnessing impressive Parade and a colourful cultural programme depicting the rich heritage and diverse culture of the country. The full dress rehearsal for 75th Independence Day celebration was held in M.A Stadium where Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar inspected the parade in an open jeep, hoisted the national flag and took the salute from the contingents of District Police, CRPF, JKAP, NCC and students drawn from different schools.
Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa; ADC, Satish Sharma; Joint Director Information, Sapna Kotwal, ACG Rakesh Dubey, besides heads of different departments and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
A scintillating cultural bonanza depicting patriotism, culture and message against the social evils was also presented by the school Children.
The Students from different government schools of Jammu city and its peripheries participated in the variety cultural show to be presented on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations.
