HIRANAGAR: A bovine smuggling bid was foiled by police in the wee hours at Kootha Morh near Saida Road after a hot chase with smugglers. Police team led by SHO Hiranagar Naveen Angral seized the vehicle and rescued five bovines. However, taking the cover of darkness the smugglers escaped from the spot.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law.
