JKPCC seeks personal intervention of LG for regularization of CIC operators

JAMMU: Highlighting grievances of CIC operators working in Rural Development Department (RDD) seeking regularization, the Spokesperson JKPCC, Ravinderx Sharma in a letter addressed to LG Manoj Sinha said that CIC Operators are not backdoor appointees but have been recruited through proper procedure in the year 2004 through District Level Recruitment Committee headed by concerned Deputy Commissioners and since then they are continuously working in Department of Rural Development Panchayati Raj, J&K, on contractual basis on a meager amount of Rs 10,000 as monthly salary, due to which they are facing a lot of hardships to feed their families and to provide better education to their children during this sky-high market inflation period.
Seeking regularization of CIC operator, Sharma said that they are well qualified also having M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc.IT, B.E & B.Tech Degrees etc and are handling efficiently more than 26 web portals on daily basis of Department, besides all other office assignments. “In 2014, Jammu & Kashmir Government took a Cabinet decision to formulate a proposal for their regularizations. In 2016, the Government through a cabinet decision created 172 posts of Data Entry Operators for regularization of CIC Operators vide Govt. Order No. 320-RD & PR of 2016 dated14.12.2016,” he added, urging LG to intervene personally into the matter and ensure justice on priority basis to these CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department, suffering very badly since last two decades.
