JAMMU: To acquaint the farmers about the latest techniques in farming, the Agriculture Department organised one day awareness camp under National Food Security Mission (NFSM) scheme at Chatha farm in zone Dharp falling under Sub Division Agriculture Officer, R S Pura. Sub Division Agriculture Officer, Harjeet Singh delivered lecture about the wheat sowing, seed treatment, soil testing before sowing, balance dose of fertiliser and pesticides. AEO Harbjhan Singh highlighted schemes launched by Central Government for the welfare of farmers. He along with Agriculture expert, Gurdeep Singh distributed pesticides, zinc among farmers under the National Food Security Mission Scheme, free of cost.
