Poor people immensely benefitted by Ayushman Bharat scheme: Randhawa

JAMMU: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa distributed Ayushman Bharat Health Cards to the beneficiaries at Bahu Assembly segment in Narwal Panchayat.
Randhawa was accompanied by Amit Gupta, Raman Sharma, Riaz Ahmed, Tarun Sharma, Baldev Raj, Mohinder, Ajay, Daulat Ram, Bikram Rajwal, Ravi, Raghav and others. Former Legislator while referring to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Jammu and Kashmir said that while the economically marginallised segments of the society have been brought under Ayushman Bharat scheme as part of health for all across the country, it has been made applicable as Ayushman Sehat in the Union Territory with benefits of Rs 5 lakh medical cover to every family without any economic slab. Around 6.50 lakh people in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have taken the benefit of this scheme, he said, adding that the poor people hail Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching this scheme, he added. “Earlier, poor people were avoiding treatment of any disease which costs over Rs 20,000, but with the launch this scheme, they (poor people) are being immensely benefitted”, Randhawa informed.
Former legislator said that various other flagship schemes were launched by the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi including Ayushman Health Card, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, etc for the benefit of the common masses.
He also asked the BJP workers are working at grass-root level to aware the masses about the policies of the Central Government led by Prime Minister.
