Shiv Sena demands installation of CCTV cameras in Govt offices cross Valley

JAMMU: The BJP led Government in the Centre has miserably failed to prevent terrorist incidents, selective killings and to ensure safety and security of common citizens, including Kashmiri Hindus and minorities in the Kashmir Valley. Despite the targeted killings at public places, no CCTV footage has emerged of any of the killings,
This was stated by Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit chief while addressing a press conference at Party’s central office in Jammu.
Sahni demanded immediate installation of CCTV cameras in all the government offices wherein the minorities are rendering their services. Along with this, CCTVs should also be installed on the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway before the start of the holy Amarnath Yatra. He said that in year 2022, there have been 13 targeted killings in various public places in the Valley including Rahul Bhatt in Tehsil Office of Kashmir Valley, Rajni Bala in government school and Vijay Kumar in bank and Ranjit Singh at wine shop and in all such places not a single CCTV footage of the incidents were recovered and the disgusting faces of the perpetrators of such nefarious acts did not come before the public. Sahni said that the unsafe environment of the Kashmir Valley and the failure of government to stop such selective killings resulting in workers and minorities are being forced to leave the Kashmir Valley.
Sahni said that the Ministry of Home Affairs had released Rs 116 crore in the year 2020 under Police Modernization considering the importance of CCTV cameras for security in the Kashmir Valley. But even after a long gap of two years, the department has failed to install CCTV cameras.
Among others who were present in the press conference include president Mehila wing Meenakshi Chibber , Gen secretary Vikas Bakshi,Vice President Balwant Singh,Sanjeev Kohli , President Kamghar wing Raj Singh , President Youth Binni Mahajan , Shashi Pal were present.
