UDHAMPUR: GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrated world Environmental day by organizing posters and slogans writing contest on the theme of the environmental day i.e ‘Only One Earth’.
The programme started under the guidance of Principal of the college, Dr. (Prof) Satinder Kour who appraised the students about negative effects of global warming and climate change and how the youth and students can be awareness raisers and supporters in this cause ,She also stressed on the preservation of earth’s valuable resources because the nature has many solutions for our health problems and for nature’s benefits, one should know about its value. Principal also congratulated the students for their active participation in this important event. Prof. Shaista Yasmeen (Convenor Eco and Yuva club)was the convenor of the programme. She explained the importance of world Environmental day. Dr. Radha Rani(Coordinator NSS Unit) was the Coordinator of the programme. She motivated the NSS Unit of college to become part of such important activities like environment protection and preservation.
