JAMMU: If India wishes to emerge as a Super-power, then school Science labs must be upgraded and transformed into world-class Science labs. In order to achieve this social commitment, JKPS Kunjwani has been striving hard to enhance the scientific attitude of its students through the endeavours made by the CV Raman Club of Junior Scientists. More than 80 students are the part of the club and have been making incredible efforts while working on different projects and experiencing the practical knowledge by developing creative skills. Indeed, a brilliant example of learning by doing.
“CV Raman Club focuses on the expansion of imaginative, innovative and the scientific temperament of every child by making them explore their aspirations under the guidance of their mentors. Club students have been divided into different class groups and the work is done on war footings”, said the Principal, Rajesh Rathore.
Class 6 students have been acquiring the skills in the domain of small drill machine and making it successfully on the principle of converting the electrical energy into mechanical energy by using material, namely, PVC pipes, connectors, cardboards, transformers, rectifiers, battery eliminators, drill chucks, switches etc.
Junior scientists from Class 7 are working on the Robotic Hand and Drone using cardboard, fans, motors, propellers, batteries, wires etc. Working is based on the use of electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Class 8 students have been working on the science model ‘Recyclable Fountain’ by using plastics bottles, motors, PVC pipes, thermocol, colored water etc
Class 9 students are designing the Solar Power Rover based on the principle of conversion of solar energy into mechanical energy. The inexplicable joy on the vibrant faces of these Junior Scientists fills the teachers with josh.
Class 10 students have been working on the repairing of the old bulb and made it reusable again. They are also making sound speakers, using a magnetic tape for capturing music and making it connected by Bluetooth sensor based on the working of electrical energy transforming into sound energy.
“There is tremendous enthusiasm among the members of the CV Raman Club of Junior Scientists. We see it as a fantastic opportunity to invite the innovative ideas from the young scientists so as to make them explore and move on to the next level”, said Rajesh Rathore.
