JAMMU: Led by international footballer from Jammu, Arun Malhotra, a team of senior footballers has started a week-long coaching camp for young boys and girls at Dr B R Ambedkar Stadium, Dehradun on Wednesday.
“Around 100 young boys and girls have been involved in this first of its kind coaching camp in Dehradun. Serving and some of the retired footballers of the ONGC have initiated the camp so as to guide the youngsters,” informed Arun Malhotra.
The event has the support of the ONGC and other retired officials having football background.
“Separate women’s licensed coaches are also there to train youngsters from Uttrakhand. The response is so encouraging that we had to stop the registration to limited the number of around 100. This camp is similar to one organised by me at Khel Gaon, Nagrota in Jammu,” further said Arun Malhotra.
Arun serves with ONGC and presently posted at Dehradun.
