JAMMU: Alleging dowry death, the family members and relatives of a young woman on Monday staged protest seeking justice.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Kumari, 28, wife of Santosh Kumar resident of Galwaday Chak, Gajansoo, who allegedly died by consuming some poisonous substance.
The family assembled at Government Medical College where they raised slogans against the police authorities seeking stern action against the in-laws of Pooja Kumari.
The FIR was registered at Police Station, Marh. She was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her as brought dead. The post-mortem report said that she has lost her life after consuming some poisonous substance.
The family members of Pooja warned that if stern action will not be taken against the in-laws of Pooja Kumari they will start a massive protest.
