BUDGAM: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Budgam SKUAST-Kashmir in collaboration with Sheikh-ul-Alam Memorial Degree College Budgam is holding a series of webinars on promotion of Skill development in Agriculture and allied sectors for unemployed educated youth of District Budgam from 2nd November 2020.
In this regard, the inaugural function was organised on Monday through online mode. Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Vice Chancellor SKUAST Kashmir was the Chief Guest while Director Planning and Monitoring SKUAST-Kashmir, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganie and Principal Sheikh-ul-Alam Degree College Budgam, Prof. Zahida Naseem were Guests of Honour.
During the inaugural address, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad emphasized on the importance of skill development in agriculture and its allied sectors particularly fruit and vegetable processing and preservation.
Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganie, also emphasized on the changing world scenario and need of skilled manpower in the Valley.
Prof. Zahida Naseem, emphasized on the need of such collaborative programmes between SKUAST-K through KVK and Degree College Budgam. She also enlightened the participants that a MoU stands already signed between the Degree College and SKUAST-K under New Education Policy for skill development in horticulture.
