Teachers alleges bungling in transfer cases

UDHAMPUR: Jammu Kashmir Teacher Forum (JKTF) district body alleged mass bungling being committed by the higher heads of the Education Department in transfer of teachers at the stake of violation of transfer norms. Forum further alleged that height of violation has gone to such extent that department has transferred some of pre-mature teachers in order to favour their persons of their choice. To highlight the issue, a deputation of JKTF met Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur on Wednesday.
Forum said much of the transfers were made at the behest of political and outside Education Department pressure. Forum also said that CEO Udhampur has transfered some of the teachers hailing from RBA locality and adjusted them at Udhampur that to newly promoted mater grade teachers were adjusted which is utter unjustified and against the norms also.
While another association of teachers also held a meeting under the chairmanship of District President of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) Ashok Kumar and expressed their great concerned over pick and choose policy been adopted by Education Department while adjusting the newly promoted master grade teachers whom DPC was done by Director School Education Jammu in the month of Feb. 2014. Association also warned the higher ups to adopt agitation path if department fail to redresses their grievances earliest.
