JAMMU: Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta along with Anil Kumar Masoom Councillor of Ward No 10 kick started the upgradtion & beautification work of Rani Park Jammu.
Mayor told that it is a traditional as well as one of the oldest park which is situated just in the heart of old Jammu city where people from all walks of life visits on routine basis for morning/evening walk & said that management committee of this park has been doing tremendous job in maintaining it in proper condition.
They have represented to the Councilor Anil Masoom to complete the left over development works and after his sincere efforts, this development work in terms of laying of colorful tiles, installation of railings consists of stainless steel along all sides of the park, commissioning of beautiful fountain in the middle of park, installation of about 110 ft length pillor/superior rod for unfurling the national flag as well as other allied works.
Mayor said that this development work has been started with an estimate cost of Rs 25.00 lakh.
He directed the concerned engineering wing to complete this upgradation/beautification work of the park within stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material for its long durability and appeal to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC in all the development works being undertaken in various wards of the city.
