SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Haj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi on Wednesday said that land measuring 96,650 Kanals and 13 Marlas has been notified as Wakaf land in the State, of which 5,5014 Kanals and 16 marlas are in Kashmir province and 41,635 Kanals and 17 Marlas in Jammu Province.
The minister was replying to a question of Zaffar Iqbal Manhas in the Legislative Council.
The minister said that the revenue estimated by the Wakaf board during the year 2015-16 was Rs 2.86 crore and realized revenue is Rs 2.20 crore.
