MAHORE: Police on Wednesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing nine bovines and arresting a smuggler.
As per the details, a specific information was received at Police Station Mahore that some persons were smuggling bovines to Kashmir valley from Angralla Tuksan via Buzraa Pathri without any permission. On this, a police team from Police Station Mahore and SPP Ladh under the supervision of Inspector Salim Altaf Raina, SHO Police Station Mahore and Mohd Aslam, SDPO Mahore laid a Naka at Shadole Nallah and rescued nine bovines from the possession of the accused person. The accused person was arrested and identified as Shamas Din son of Ghulam Din resident of Shadole Tehsil Mahore District Reasi. A case vide FIR No.79/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore.
