8th Pawan Memorial Cricket tourney;Tanishta wins to meet Singh Club in final

AKHNOOR: Tanishta Cricket Club won today’s semifinal to take on hosts Singh Cricket Club in the title clash slated for 5th July at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
Earlier, in the second semifinal of the Twenty20 tournament, Tanishta defeated Singh Baba Talab by a big margin of 71 runs. Batting first, Tanishta set a target of 191 runs for nine wickets.
Raman Dutta played superb innings of 35-ball 56 runs while Nitin (39 off 18 balls) and Vivek (22 off 13 balls) were other main scorers. Puneet added 17 runs to the total. For Singh Baba Talab, Tinku claimed three wickets, followed by Ankush, who bagged two. Happy, Lablu, Vikram and Panday shared apiece each.
In reply, Singh Baba Talab could make 119 runs losing nine wickets in 18 overs to concede. Lablu remained highest scorer with 31 runs while Anil contributed 16. Raman and Panday added 15 runs each. For Tanishta, Puneet Kumar emerged as most successful bowler with four wickets. Raman Dutta and Aman shared two wickets each.
For his all round performance, Raman Dutta was named Man of the Match. Vikas Bali and Joginder Mangotra were Umpires while Ashwani Mangotra was Scorer in today’s semifinal.
