KATHUA: The Excise Department Jammu destroyed 850 Kgs of Lahan, raw material of used for making liquor as part of its drive against illicit liquor making.
The drive was conducted on the directions of the Excise Commissioner Anu Malhotra under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Ashish Gupta. The Excise Team was led by ETO Excise Range Kathua Savita Chouhan and comprised Inspectors Excise Sanjeev Khajuria and Arun Kumar, SI Amit Sharma, Excise Guards Balbir Singh, Kanwar Dutt, Shamsher Singh and Mohd Ramzan conducted the raids at Banyari, Ladoo Chak, Birso Chak and Parso Chak areas of Kathua district and recovered the illicit liquor which was destroyed on the spot.
