POONCH : The Surankote Police under the supervision of SSP Poonch J. S Johar rescued 8 bovines which were being smuggled into the Valley through Mughal road on Monday. According to report the Incharge Police Post Behramgala Nizarat Hussain under the supervision of SHO Surankote Charanjit Singh laid a police Naka on Mugal road and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration No JK02A-1762 and JK02AE-2823 which were on their way from Thannamandi to Valley. During checking they recovered 8 bovines which were being illegally transported towards Valley.
The police seized both the vehicles and arrested three persons namely Mushtan Shah son Talib Hussain Shah (driver) and Iftkar Ahmed son of Allah Ditta (driver) both residents of Thannamandi and Mohd Zubair son of Mohd Shafi (smuggler) resident of Barote, Thannamandi.
Police have registered a case FIR 112/16 and 113/16 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA at Police Station Surankote for investigation.
