RAMBAN: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing eight bovines from the clutches of smugglers.
According to a report, acting on a specific information, a team from Police Post Sangaldan laid a Naka at Kentha Morh Dalwah and intercepted a bovine smuggler namely Ab Rashid son of Mohd Qasim resident of Kanga Ramban who was trying to smuggle eight bovines on foot.
It has been ascertained that he was smuggling all these bovines without permission towards Kashmir via Tata Pani. The accused has been arrested and a case under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
The bovine smuggling bid was foiled by police party led by In-Charge Police Post Sangaldan SI Parvez Khandey under the supervision of SHO Gool, Inspr Sunil Arya, Dy.SP Ops Gool Vipan Chanderan and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
