7th Pay Commision; Govt employees demand implementation

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) on Sunday urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti not to defer the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission and implement the same at the earliest. “It is very unfortunate that the State Government decided to defer the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission by two years, we urge the State Government to implement the recommendations at the earliest,” JCC member Amrik Singh said on Sunday.
He said while the State Government has enhanced the salaries of the MLAs and MLCs, the reluctance to implement the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission for the employee was “injustice” with the working community.
Singh said that the JCC would be left with no other option but to launch an agitation for the implementation of the recommendations of the Pay Commission.
Amrik also appealed to the State Government employees to unite for struggle under the banner of J and K Govt Employees Joint Consultative Committee to achieve the Seventh Pay Commission and do not fall into the trap of some self styled leadership who are bent upon to sabotage the employees cause .
“We are already in touch with the Kashmir and the State leadership to convene the State level meeting as and when the situation in Kashmir improves,” he disclosed. Balwinder Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Dharminder Singh, Darshan Sharma, Ravi Singh Bahu, Gopal Singh, Jagdish Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Uttam Chand Sharma, Rajinder Gupta, Umar Jan, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Subash Sharma, Balbir Rahi, Amrik Singh Chib, Deedar Singh and Chaman Lal Raina were also present.
