KISHTWAR: Police on Monday arrested two bootleggers and recovered 79 pouches of Desi whisky from their possession. According to police, on a specific information, a team from Police Station Kishtwar headed by DySP (HQ) Kishtwar Tousif Ahmed raided near 9 Sector RR Zelna,Kishtwar where they apprehended two bootleggers and recovered 79 pouches of illicit liquor (Desi whisky) from their possession. “This is the third consecutive recovery of illicit liquor in just four days in Kishtwar area. The drive against this menace will remain continue,” SSP Kishtwar said. The accused persons have been identified as Hira Lal son Nand Ram resident of Ligri Pader and Rajesh Kumar son of Brahma Nand resident of Thakrai. A case vide FIR No 127/2016 u/s 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation is going on.
