JAMMU: The Home Department on Monday transferred seven IPS officers. Surinder Kumar Gupta, IPS (JK: 1997), IGP, officiating as DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range has been transferred and posted as IGP (Hqrs); Johny William, IPS (JK:1997), IGP, officiating as DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range has been transferred and posted as IGP (Tech) relieving V.K Singh, Additional General (Hqrs) PHQ, of the additional charge of the post.
Syed Ahfadul Mujtaba, IPS (JK:1998,) IGP officiating as Director SSC J&K, has been posted as Director, SSG, J&K, which post has been declared equivalent to the rank of IGP.
Nitish Kumar, IPS (JK: 1999), DIG SRK Anantnag has been transferred and posted as DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla vice Uttam Chand, Nisar Ahmad, IPS (JK:1999), DIG, Doda Range shall hold the charge of the post of Udhampur/Reasi Range, in addition to his duties.
S.P Pani, IPS (JK:2000), DIG, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as DIG, SKR, Anantnag and Uttam Chand, IPS (JK:2002), DIG NKR, Baramulla, has been posted as DIG Rajouri/Poonch.
