61st Cooperative Week celebrations from Nov 14

JAMMU: Registrar Cooperatives, Basharat Saleem (IAS) reviewed the arrangements for 61st Cooperative Week celebrations, in a meeting of the divisional and district level officers of the department.
It was informed in the meeting that the theme of Cooperative Week-2014 is “Cooperative Model for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth”.
Saleem stressed on organising the celebrations at district and block levels so that the message is conveyed at the grass root level to sensitise the members and general public about the importance of cooperatives in the present economic scenario.
It was informed that the inaugural function shall be held on 14th November at the Cooperative Office Complex, Rajinder Nagar Bantalab and concluding ceremony on 20th November at the Sehkari Bhavan, Railhead Complex, Jammu. Other progressive Cooperative institutions like JAKFED, Super Bazar, Citizens Cooperative Bank, Cooperative Housing Corporation and Cooperative School, Deeli, shall also organize functions during the week. For achieving the underlying objectives in the cooperative week celebration, the district level officers were advised to organize programmes in the far-flung blocks of the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi and remote blocks of other districts as well. The participating officers were also advised to highlight the success stories and such schemes and programmes of the Department which are income generating and presently under implementation.
The meeting was attended by Anjana Tickoo Additional Registrar, Jammu, Mufti Fareed-ud-Din Joint Registrar (Administration), J and K, Tanvir Iqbal Joint Registrar (Audit) Jammu, and other divisional and district level officers and heads of various Cooperative institutions.
