REASI: Member Legislative Council, Jugal Kishore Sharma on Tuesday distributed cheques worth Rs 91,500 among 61 flood affected Below Poverty Line families to construct new dwelling units or repair their damaged houses.
The money was provided by the MLC out of his Constituency Development Fund.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the recent rains have damaged the houses of these people and they were living under open skies for many days. He asked the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds and use quality material.
He also interacted with the Sarpanchs and Panchs and advised them to help the departments in executing various developmental schemes.
BDO Reasi Tinna Mahajan, Officials from RDD, members of PRIs and local people were present on the occasion.
