6,050 employees given EVM training

KUPWARA: According to the Chief Education Officer, Kupwara, who is also the Nodal Officer for Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) training management, as many as 6,050 employees from various departments were imparted use of EVM at Kupwara, Handwara and Karnah Training Centres for first phase of EVM training which include 950 of Tangdhar (Karnah), 1,330 of Kupwara segment, 1,240 of Lolab, 1,430 of Handwara and 1,100 employees from Langate Assembly Constituency.
It was also informed that 2nd phase of EVM training will commence from 24th November, 2014 at 11:00 AM in which Polling staff hailing from Karnah and Kupwara Assembly segments would be imparted EVM training at Degree College Kupwara on 24th November, 2014 while as employees from Handwara Assembly segment will get training at Town Hall Kupwara on 24th November, 2014.
Likewise, the polling staff posted in Lolab Assembly segment would be imparted EVM training at Government Degree College, Kupwara on 25th November, 2014 and polling staff of Langate Assembly segment will get EVM training at Town Hall Kupwara on 25th November, 2014.
