JAMMU: 52 Battalion beat 187 Battalion in the final and won the trophy of the volleyball competition 2023 of Jammu Sector, which was organized in the GC CRPF Jammu from March 27 to 29, 2023. In this competition total 15 teams of Operational Battalions i.e. 06, 33, 38, 52, 72, 76, 84, 121, 126, 137, 160, 166 and 187 Battalions and Group Center Hiranagar and Group Center Jammu participated. The winning and runner up teams were honoured by presenting trophies from the Chief Guest, Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant GC CRPF Jammu. Earlier, the closing ceremony was addressed by Prem Chandra Gupta, who said that the main objective of such competitions is to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship in the minds of CRPF personnel.
The sports activity also help to maintain true spirit and discipline among force personnel, he added. He also emphasized to adopt sports regularly, because sports develop our mind, brain and our physical fitness also.
