5 singers got entry into mega final of Devotional Song Competition

Celebrity singer Shanker Sawhney, Anjusha, Ravi Kumar enthralled audience

KATRA: In the Semi Final on eighth day evening as a part of Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition being organised by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt. of J&K Tourism,Mh1 in association with J&K Bank,Nice Gems, DIVINITI, Nidheesh Builders Jammu Pvt. Ltd., Pure Roots, Vishwayatan Yog Ashram Complex with active support of District Administration and the local host Community, began today at Yog Ashram Complex in the evening by lighting of a traditional lamp by famous singer Shanker Sawhney, Chairman CINEFIL the film Producers body Rishi Raj, Film maker and film Trade Analyst Kumar Mohan, Tauseef DFO, in presence of Rakesh Wazir Chairman All Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra , Asstt. Director Tourism, Arif Lone, Vice President Hotel Association, Katra Ajay Kotwal, Kartik Singh and Kriti Bhardwaj.
In this semi final, out of 16 participants who qualified for it through preliminary rounds of competitions, quarter final, and then this semi final, five participants qualified for the Mega Final to be held at Yog Ashram Complex Katra including Sukhjinder from Punjab, Anmol Raj from Hoshiarpur, Laisel Rai from Chandigarh, Stenzin from Ladakh, Rajeev Salotra from Jammu in the tough contest held here.
The competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including celebrity Singer Shanker Sawhney, Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr. C L Verma Ex. Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Usha Bhagati former Head of Department of Music in many degree colleges.
Famous celebrity singer Shanker Sawhney who had come all the way for performing in the event enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and the total environment of the venue became spiritual and likewise the previous winners of the Competition including Anjusha and Ravi Kumar to mesmerised the audience with their beautiful songs and the people were seen dancing and singing on her tunes.
The proceedings of Competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir Chairman of the said Competition.
