JAMMU: Five head constables and 21 Selection Grade constables of different battalions of IRP South Range Jammu were found eligible for insitu-promotions and accordingly their insitu-promotion order has been issued by DIG IRP South Range Jammu on 5th January 2015.
DIG IRP South Range Jammu Vijay Singh Sambyal said that a board comprising of Mir Mohammad Choudhary-SSP, CO IRP-14th Bn; Rashmi Wazir-SSP, CO IRP-4th Bn; M.L Thakur-DySP, SO to DIG-IRP South Range Jammu was constituted to ascertain the eligibility and suitability of ASIs, HCs and SgCts of various Battalions of IRP South Range Jammu for their insitu promotion in the light of rules and regulations.
After board proceedings, (26) HCs and Sg. Constables namely HCs Suram Singh, Sham Singh, Rajinder Singh, Sham Singh, Vidya Lal and SgCts namely Bashir Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, Kuldeep Singh, Mohammad Ayoub, Gh Nabi, Gh Ahmad, Gh Hassan, Bashir Ahmad, Noor Alam, Shamas Din, Ab Majeed, Gh Hassan, Gh Nabi, Nazir Ahmad, Ajeet Kumar, Ranjeet Kour, Suman Gill, Manjeet Singh, Pawan Kumar, Balwinder Singh and Ravinder Kumar who have completed their nine years of service in the present rank have been given INSITU promotion in the appropriate pay scales vide DIG IRP order No. 11 dated 5th January 2015. However, eleven police officials of various battalions have not been found fit for said Insitu Promotion as they could not qualify the said eligibility test.
