5 habits to give up for being happy
Happiness is a state of mind. And it can’t be really bought even if you have all the wealth in the world. To be in a state of happiness, give up the feeling of negativity, worry and constantly living upto people’s expectations. So, give up these five habits which might come in the way of attaining a happy state of mind.
1. Give up being a people pleaser: Live life as per your inner desire. Don’t live according to other people’s expectations. Stop being a people-pleaser. Learn to say no when you don’t want to do something. Be firm in your decisions and act accordingly.
2. Give up postponing actions: Yes, it’s fine to live in the moment. But certain things require planning and don’t postpone every little action of yours. Be organised while planning your work schedule, finances and the like. Sticking to a routine and being organized is not being boring.
3. Give up taking everything personally: Remember the world doesn’t really revolve around you. So, don’t get hyper. Just keep in mind that every Facebook status update your friend puts is not done keeping you in mind. So, relax and enjoy the show. Be self-assured and live your life to the fullest.
4. Give up being a maximalist: Spending money on things you don’t need is not going to bring happiness for you. Living simply within your budget is an act of elegance. Living simply allows one to live with flow and beauty. We complicate our lives by spending too much money and filling our home with things. Less is definitely more.
5. Give up worrying: Worrying will not get you anywhere. Instead be pro-active. When you worry, you actually block.
