SRINAGAR: Police arrested five gamblers and recovered Rs 1.22 lakh as stake money from the gambling site.
Acting on specific information, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Pahalgam, Tariq Ahmad Khan raided a gambling place at Pahalgam.
During the raid, five gamblers were apprehended who were identified as Mohammad Iqbal Sofal, Shabir Ahmad Ganie, Farooq Ahmad Gatòo, Irshad Ahmad Bhat and Shakeeel Ahmad Dar. Police team recovered a stake money of Rs. 1,22,510 from the gambling site. A case FIR number 08/2017 under Section 13 Gambling Act was registered against these gamblers and further investigation has been taken up.
