JAMMU: Singh Cricket Club and Jammu Stars Club won their respective matches in the Fourth Eid Diwali Christmas T20 Cricket Cup, played at Parade Ground, here on Tuesday.
In the first match of the day, Singh Cricket Club defeated Jammu United Club by six wickets.
Batting first, Jammu United scored 114 runs in 16 overs. Majid (40) and Sameer (17) were the main scorers. Sunny and Binny shared two wickets while Sham and Pankaj took one wicket each for Singh Club.
In reply, Singh Club with the superb 54-run inning of Sunny achieved the target in 14.5 overs by losing four wickets. Rahul contributed 27 runs. Sameer, Saqib, Nayeem and Majid shared one wicket each.
Sunny was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, Jammu Stars Club scripted a 3-wicket win against JK Warriors XI.
JK Warriors Club, batting first, was bowled out for 145 runs in 16 overs.
Sahil played an inning of 46 runs followed by Naseem and Raju, who added 29 and 21 runs to the total respectively. Micky picked three wickets while Sunil Sambyal took two and Shubkaran clinched one wicket for Jammu Stars.
Jammu Stars Club chased the target in last over of the game by losing seven wickets. Atul was the top scorer with 48 runs while Irshad and Sunil Sambyal made 26 and 20 runs respectively.
Satish and Kapil shared two wickets each, while Pankaj picked one. Atul was adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Madan Lal and Danny.
In today’s matches, SSP CID Jammu, Pawan Parihar was the Chief Guest who was introduced with the participating teams.
Tomorrow’s fixtures: KC Club to meet Tawi Cricket Club at 8:30 AM; Christian Sports XI to face Bahu Fort Club at 11:30 AM; and Simula Sports XI to clash with Shenshah Club at 2:15 PM.
