382 new COVID-19 cases take J&K’s tally to 1,16,008; death toll 1,799

JAMMU: The COVID-19 death toll in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 1,799 on Sunday with six more fatalities, while 382 new cases took the infection tally to 1,16,008, officials said.
Of the new cases, 198 were from Kashmir and 184 were from Jammu division of the the Union Territory, they said.
Jammu and Srinagar recorded the maximum 98 cases each followed by 22 cases in Kathua district.
The number of active cases further dropped to 4,702. A total of 505 patients recovered from the infection, taking the overall recoveries to 1,09,507 so far, officials said.
The Union Territory reported six COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours three from Jammu and three from the Kashmir region.
Moreover,505 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 267 from Jammu Division and 238 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 1,16,008 positive cases, 4,702 are Active Positive, 1,09,507 have recovered and 1,799 have died; 648 in Jammu division and 1,151 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 33,45,171 test results available, 32,29,163 samples have been tested as negative till December13, 2020. Till date 8,29,181 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 22,655 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4,702 in isolation and 27,759 in home surveillance. Besides, 7,72,266 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 24,259 positive cases (including 98cases reported today) with 1,138 Active Positive, 22,688 recovered (including 87 cases recovered today), 433 deaths; Baramulla has 7,737 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 213 Active Positive, 7,355 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today), 169 deaths; Pulwama reported 5,294 positive cases (including 18 case reported today) with 173 active positive cases, 5,033 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Kulgam has 2,627 positive cases (including 03 case reported today) with 67 Active Positive, 2,508 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 52 deaths; Shopian has 2,431 positive cases (including 17 case reported today) with 108 Active Positive, 2,286 recovered and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4,659 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 105 Active Positive, 4472 recovered (including 21cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Budgam has 7,311 positive cases (including 21 cases reported today) with 300 Active Positive and 6,906 recovered (including 25 cases recovered today), 105 deaths; Kupwara has 5,367 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 180 Active Positive, 5,099 recovered (including 11cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Bandipora has 4,537 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 107 Active Positive, 4,373 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 57 deaths and Ganderbal has 4,352 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 121 active positive cases, 4,191 recoveries (including 53 cases recovered today)and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 22,170 positive cases (including 98 cases reported today) with 776 active positive cases, 21,064 recoveries (including 110 cases recovered today), 330 deaths; Rajouri has 3,702 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 239 active positive cases, 3410 recovered (including 11 cases recovered today), 53 deaths; Ramban has 2,031 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 70 active positive, 1,940 recoveries(including 22 cases reported today) and 21 deaths; Kathua has 3,017 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 118 Active positive, 2,854 recovered (including 24 cases recovered today), 45 deaths; Udhampur has 3,949 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 321 active positive cases, 3,575 recovered (including 73 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Samba has 2,623 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 213 Active Positive, 2,376 recoveriesand 34 deaths; Doda has 3,296 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 162 active positive cases, 3,076 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today), 58 deaths; Poonch has 2,420 positive cases (including 01cases reported today) with 30 active positive, 2,368 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1,562 positive cases with 105 active positive, 1446recoveries and 11 deaths while Kishtwar has 2,664 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 156 active positive cases and 2,487 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths.
