JAMMU: The semifinals position has been cleared in the junior boys’ singles events in the 36th State Table Tennis Championship, organised by J and K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here on Thursday.
Ritvik, Sunpreet, Divyam and Manandeep have made it to the last four stages of the competition. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Ritvik beat Anuj Gupta 3-1 (11-08, 11-08, 08-11, 11-09) while Sunpreet defeated Sidhanshu in straight sets of 11-07, 11-08, 11-08.
In other quarterfinals, Divyam trounced Abhay Koul in easy straight sets of 11-03, 11-04, 11-06 and Manandeep registered a 3-1 (11-07, 11-08, 08-11, 11-09) win against Amber.
Meanwhile, as per the organisers the finals would be played on Friday which would be followed by the valedictory function.
