JAMMU: Three-day 35th J&K UT Junior Volleyball Championship for boys and girls being organized by Udhampur District Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Mini Stadium Udhampur from February 21 to 23, 2024 postponed due to inclement weather.
The decision was taken in the meeting of the organizing committee held under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, here on Monday.
It was decided that the next date shall be conveyed later on after consultation with the Volleyball Association of J&K.
“Unprecedented climatic conditions constrained us to postpone the 35th JK UT Junior Volleyball Championship at Udhampur,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO), VAJK said and expressed thanks to organizers especially all VADU members for leaving no stone unturned in making this championship a grand show but our efforts could not yield tangible results due to abnormal climatic conditions
“We express gratitude to the leadership of Saloni Rai, DC Udhampur and Chairperson of the Organising Championship and her entire team for meticulously making all arrangements of over 400 players of J&K for the championship at Udhampur,” he said.
“We deserve such gestures in future for energising youth towards sports & in the National building,” he said.
