DODA: Three Machail Yatra pilgrims are reportedly missing during the ongoing annual Yatra in Kundeel Padder area of Kishtwar District of Chenab Valley region.
As per reports, the victims namely Sunita Devi (18 years), Manisha Rani (13 years) both daughters of Mangat Ram resident of Kuleed Chowk Kishtwar and Rajesh Sharma son of Babu Ram Sharma resident of Bilawar District Kathua while returning back to Gulabgarh were reportedly washed away in flesh floods that took place due to cloudburst in Machail Nallah.
As per the official sources, the two girls went missing soon after they went ahead leaving behind the family members who later accompanied them when the cloudburst hit the area. When contacted DDC Kishtwar G.N Balwan said that the family members have lodged the missing report of their relatives for which search is going on to trace the missing persons, but we have not received any report of their fate.
