BHADARWAH: To put a tight grip on the traffic violators, special Nakas were laid on several routes of Doda area by Traffic Police Doda on Friday.
A team of Traffic Police Doda headed by DSP Farooq Ahmed Khan laid special Nakas on Arnora-Ghat and Doda-Malwana and other routes of Doda locality.
During today’s special drive against the traffic violators, Challans were issued for various violations including temporary registration number plates, driving without seat belt, overloading, without helmet, using mobile phone while driving ,without documents etc.
DSP Farooq Ahmed Khan while talking to our correspondent said that people were also educated about the traffic norms and were asked to help in effective implementation of these rules.
Violators were also warned to adhere to the traffic rules and regulations failing which stern action under law would be taken.
During this special Naka, 28 vehicles were Challaned ( including Court and Compound ) plying on several routes in Doda area for various traffic violations and two vehicles (JK06-8183 and JK06-2381) were also seized for failing to produce important documents.
