UDHAMPUR: Zone wise assessment camps for visually impaired children for age group 6-14 years both school going and out of school have been organised under SSA at Rotary Eye Hospital ,Housing Colony , Udhampur from 9th Oct 2014 to 8th Nov 2014 .
In these camps the children from all the eleven zones were assessed / checked- up by specialist doctors. During these camps 266 children were assessed / checked out of which , 50 children were recommended for spectacles and 30 for eye surgery .
Moreover in the month of December , 2014 distribution camps shall be organised at district level in which free spectacles shall be provided to the recommended children. After the completion of camp, surgeries of recommended children shall also be undertaken. All these camps were organised under the supervision of Chief Education Officer Udhampur Balbir Singh.
