25 youth trained in hospitality skills

REASI: Food Craft Institute Jammu has trained a group of twenty five youth in hospitality skills who will be placed at Tourist Village Arnas in Reasi District.
The youth, sponsored by an NGO, Socio-Economic Research Bureau, J and K, were trained during specially designed six weeks training course in Food and Beverage Service to make them employable in the hospitality industry.
Such programmes are organised by Food Craft Institute in the campus at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu and other satellite centres at TRC Rajouri, TRC Basohli and TRC Bhadarwah. The training programmes are totally free of cost, sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India under the scheme ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak’.
The trainees were given certificate and stipend cheques. The Chief Guest, Director Tourism, Jammu- R.K Varma, gave away the certificates to the trainees.
Jyoti Bhatti, Principal Food Craft Institute Jammu highlighted the importance of such training programmes for the unemployed youth in the State.
Others present on the occasion were G.R Malik, Executive Director Socio Economic Research Bureau, Ashima Sher, Asstt. Director Tourism Katra, Sham Lal Kesar, President Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra and Rakesh Wazir, Sr. Vice-President Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra.
The President and Vice-President Hotel Association Katra assured to find placements for the trainees, selected during campus interviews/selections at Food Craft Institute, Jammu.
