JAMMU: The 22nd Chhari Mubarak Yatra for Shri Mata Chamunda Devi Sharvadhar Pogal Paristan District Ramban, will leave from Rameshwar Temple Paca Talab Bahu Fort Jammu on 7th July and will return to Jammu on 9th July 2024 after Maa Darshan.
To ensure proper arrangements for the Yatra, a meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Patron of Chamunda Mata Temple, Rajeev Charak, in which minute points of Yatra management were discussed.
Members of Yatra Management Committee Ukhral Ramban Dhan Singh, Rashpal Singh, Narad Singh Bali, Kartar Singh and Jammu Chhari Mubarak Yatra Management Committee Hardesh Khokhar, President of Mata Mahakali Temple Market Shopkeeper Union Ankush Khajuria, Deepak Kumar, Hrithik Prajapati and others were present in the meeting. The Ukhral Yatra Management Committee also submitted a memorandum to Chief Patron Rajeev Charak for temple development and promotion of the Yatra.
Speaking on this occasion, Rajeev Charak said that Shri Mata Chamunda Devi Sharvadhar Pogal Paristan in Chandra Bhaga area of Jammu division is the biggest pilgrimage of District Ramban.
This pilgrimage is considered very beneficial for the region. He said that devotees eagerly wait for the whole year to visit or have Darshan of Maa Chamunda. There, in the lap of nature, in the middle of the forests, Maa Chamunda Devi Ji is seated on the Sharvadhar mountain peak which is covered with snow for eight months.
By visiting Maa Chamunda Devi, people pray for the fulfillment of their wishes and receive the blessings of the mother. He said that the local people call Maa Chamunda Devi by the name of Chaund Maa in the local language.
Rajeev Charak said that Maa Chamunda Yatra is a difficult or inaccessible journey by road, 13 kms by foot, due to it being a forest area, devotees have to face many challenges. Sometimes rain and sometimes cold weather tests the devotees at every step, but despite all these difficulties, every year thousands of devotees of Maa Chamunda Devi reach here with full enthusiasm to have darshan.
Charak appealed to the divisional administration, police and traffic police administration and said that keeping in view the situation of Jammu division, strong arrangements should be made for the traffic and security system of the Chhari Mubarak Yatra starting from Jammu so that there is no hindrance in the conduct of Chhari Mubarak Yatra.
