JAMMU: Members of Students Council for the session 2014-15 of Sai Shyam College of Education, Ghou-Manhasa elected on Sunday in the election which was conducted under the supervision of Rajinder Kour and H.K Kitchloo, Senior Lecturers of the College.
Prior to elections, Principal of the College, Dr. Usha Tickoo discussed about the importance of electing the students council. She explained the varied roles to be played by the elected members of the council and opined that given responsibilities, students develop in them a sense of leadership and organisational capabilities, which is one of the important objectives of higher education.
Suman Bhagat was elected as General Secretary, Shubha Mishra Academic Secretary, Stanzin Charol Cultural Secretary, Om Prakash Sports Secretary and Rajinder Singh and Ravi Kumar was elected as student’s representatives.
