REASI: The District Election Officer Shabir Ahmad Bhatt on Tuesday organised training camp for poll personnel. The training was not only about handling the electronic voting machine and control unit but also about poll preparedness. The training was held at different venues which included Govt Degree College Reasi, Conference hall of mini secretariat Reasi, Govt Boys High Secondary School Reasi and Higher Secondary School Gool.
Polling personnel were provided hands on training about the operations of working of the electronic voting machines, the data collection and recording etc by the master trainers. The polling personnel were also informed on matters relating to necessary rules to be enforced in the polling stations and perform their duties on time and to firmly implement the rules during election processes. Master trainers also highlighted on maintaining proper record of votes in the register, using of photo voter slips, and ‘secrecy’ during exercising of franchise and added that if voters does not produce EPIC cards they can produce alternative documents for identification.
RO 58-Reasi-Tilak Raj Sharma, while addressing the polling personnel at conference hall reminded them to implement the ECI instructions and to assist the BLOs who are the main source in the polling stations. District administration has made necessary arrangements to deploy micro-observers which would work under the direct supervision of the general observer, added RO 58.

Rafiq Ahmad-DSWO, Krishan Lal-GM DIC, Ashok Kumar-CEO, Dr Shashi Bushan-CAHO, Parshotam Lal-Deputy Director FPF, Rajeshwar Singh Manhas-District Mining Officer and Rajesh Heera-Asst Controller Legal Metrology were the training observers at different venues.
