ARNAS/NAGROTA: Police on Sunday rescued 20 bovines and arrested three smugglers at Arnas and Nagrota areas.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Post Dewal that some persons were on way along with bovines towards Kashmir via Magnar Gali. On this, a police team from Police Post Dewal laid a Naka at Khour Nallah and rescued 15 bovines from the possession of Nazir Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid resident of Jamaslan Tehsil Mahore District Reasi and Abdul Hamid son of Abdul Gani resident of Neeram Tehsil Mahore District Reasi. A case FIR No. 33/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore. Meanwhile, specific information was received at Police Station Arnas through reliable source that some persons along with bovines were on way towards Kashmir. On this, a police team of Police Station Arnas along with Nafri of SPP Challadh laid a Naka at Charog Gali Challadh and rescued five bovines from the possession of accused person namely Mohd Ikhlaq son of Mohd Hafiz resident of Judda Tehsil Arnas. A case vide FIR No. 39/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Arnas.
