SAMBA: In its drive against absconders launched under overall supervision of SSP Dr Abhishek Mahajan, District Police Samba on Monday arrested two notorious criminals who were wanted in an attempt to murder case registered at Police Station Ramgarh.
As per details, a team of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO Inspr Asha Nand under supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari arrested 2 notorious criminals in FIR No. 71/2022 registered under sections 307/341/323/382/147/ 148/149/109 of IPC, 4/25 3/25 of Arms Act at Police Station Ramgarh.
The arrested accused were identified as Raman Kumar, son of Bodh Raj, resident of Kathar Tehsil Arnia and Pankaj Kumar alias Panku, son of Tara Chand, resident of Shehzadpur Tehsil Ramgarh. The items recovered from their possession included a Pistol; a Magazine; 5 Live rounds; one Tokka and an Alto car (JK21-4126), which was seized. Both accused are habitual criminals and involved in a number of cases registered at different Police Stations of District Samba and Kathua.
Raman Kumar is also kingpin of an inter-district criminal gang involved in some other cases registered at Police Station Ramgarh under FIR No. 92/2020 under sections 307/34 of IPC 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No 14/2021 under sections 451/452/323 of IPC 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No. 41/2022 under sections 307/452/364/147/148 of IPC, 3/25 ,4/25 of Arms Act. At Police Station Bari Brahmana, FIR No. 110/2022 under sections 341/323/34 of IPC 4/25 of Arms Act; at Police Station Arnia FIR No. 42/2016 under section 302 of RPC; FIR No. 166/2018 under section 341/323 of RPC 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No. 36/2019 under section 452/323 of RPC; FIR No. 41/2019 under section 452 of RPC 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No. 75/2019 under sections 307/341/323/109 of RPC 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No. 50/2020 under sections 341/323/34/506 of IPC 4/25 of Arms Act and FIR No. 47/2021 under section 380 of IPC, at Police Station Bisnah, FIR No. 174/2021 under section 4/25 of Arms Act; FIR No. 185/2021 under sections 341/323/382 of IPC; FIR No. 25/2022 under sections 307/323/147/34 of IPC, 4/25 of Arms Act. However, accused Pankaj Kumar alias Panku is also involved in several other cases registered at Police Station Ramgarh including FIR No. 07/2020 under sections 457/380 of IPC and FIR No. 51/2020 under sections 457/380/511 of IPC.
