Srinagar: Terrorists on Thursday shot and injured two non-local workers, including a Nepalese national, in Anantnag district, police said.
“Terrorist fired upon two outside labourers (01 from Bihar & second from Nepal), who were working at a private SAPS school at #Bondialgam in #Anantnag district. Both of them are being shifted to hospital,” the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.

Infiltration bid foiled, 3 terrorists killed along LoC in Poonch
Jammu: The army foiled an infiltration bid and gunned down three terrorist in an encounter along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday, officials said.
While the body of one of the terrorists was recovered by soldiers, bodies of the other two, lying across the LoC, were taken back by villagers of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), they said. “At about 1000 hours today, alert soldiers of the army observed suspicious movement of some individuals along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector (J-K), wherein they were trying to infiltrate across the Line of Control into the Indian side,” a defence spokesman said.
The soldiers challenged the infiltrators who opened fire on them, he said.
In an ensuing fire fight, three terrorists was killed, the officials said.
Body of one of the terrorists has been recovered along with two AK-47 rifles, a pistol and war-like stores, the spokesman said.
The villagers in PoK carried back the bodies of the other two terrorists, the officials said. The operation continues and a search of the area is underway, the defence spokesman said.

A police spokesperson said that at about 1900hrs, Police received information about a terror crime incident at Wanihama area of Anantnag and immediately senior police officers rushed to the spot.
According to preliminary investigation, terrorist fired upon two outside labourers, working in a private School (SAPS) at Wanihama area of Anantnag. They have been identified as Bekuu Ram, resident of Bihar and Tej Bahadur, resident Both the labourers received gunshot injuries and were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.
Initial investigation also revealed that both victims were called by terrorist to come out to engage in a work. The moment they came out, terrorist fired upon them with pistol, stated the handout.
Attacks on non-locals have increased since August.
ADGP Kashmir has said that this cowardice and inhumane act of terrorism is being investigated on top priority and the terrorists involved in this terror crime would be brought to justice soon. Area has been cordoned and search in the area is going on. Meanwhile, Police and the security forces arrested a terrorist associate of proscribed terror outfit LeT at a checkpoint established at Khamri Chowk area of Pulwama. He has been identified as Zubair Ahmad Dar, son of Ali Mohd Dar, resident of Arigam Pulwama. Incriminating materials and a hand grenade was recovered from his possession. Preliminary investigation revealed that the terrorist associate was tasked to carry out terror attacks on outside labourers in the area.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 314/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation has been initiated.
